Brad and Kathy went out on their first date on July 26th, 2001. Their story starts about three weeks earlier when they met for the first time. Well, it actually starts 3 years earlier when Kathy met Brad`s sister Sandi at an Alpha Phi Alumni event. Sandi thought upon meeting Kathy, "Wow, she would be perfect for my brother."

Anyway, three weeks before their first date, Sandi invited the two over for a Bar-b-Que. Un-beknownst to Kathy, Sandi had told Brad she wanted him to meet her friend. The stage was set.
Kathy arrived at the party and Brad was captivated by her beauty. Kathy arrived with another guy, but Brad was fearless. Well, almost. It only took him an hour and a half to get up the courage to go over and introduce himself to her, but at that point, he was on a mission. They only talked for about an hour, but by then, Brad knew he had to see her again.

This is where the devious plotting and scheming begins. Brad had to figure out a way to get to see Kathy again. He went to his sister for help. He asked her, "Sand, how can I see that girl again?"
Fortunately, Kathy had left a Guacomole dish at Sandi`s. Since Brad and Kathy lived so close to each other, Sandi said she would try to arrange it so Brad could return the dish to Kathy; thus, giving him another opportunity to see her again.

They arranged a meeting at Starbucks to handle the `dish transaction` and Brad asked Kathy out on a date. She accepted and that brings us to July 26th, 2001.
He picked her up and they went out for Sushi. They ate, they laughed, they enjoyed the night immensly. After dinner, they walked on the Board Walk and talked and enjoyed some more. Brad and Kathy were falling in love.
